I have visited most of the wine regions of France, including Bourgogne three times; Bourdeaux twice; Alsace; Loire; Languedoc; and of course, the Rhône Valley. With the pre-visit seminar you will gain insights on what to expect while traveling in France. In the past I've rented bikes and hiked many of the well maintained trails. The group may chose to spend some time exploring little villages on foot. Depending on availablility, your group will be staying at an upscale 3-Star Campground. Complete with kitchen. I believe that you rather spend your time exploring the area than packing and un-packing every night. From this central location we will venture out each day. We will visit local food markets for our supplies. We will gather local meats and cheeses, or diet specific foods for our picnic lunches. PACKAGE. Seven nights (eight days) in Châteauneuf-du-Pape region! You will be staying in a countryside setting, and depending on availability a rural campground or similar setting. Cost of lodging, transportation, bike rental( two days) and personalized wine guide service are included. Food, wine tasting(which is free in the Rhone Valley), airfare are not included. I'll make all the arrangements! Tasting fees are complimentry in the Rhone Valley. It is always polite to purchase a bottle (if you like it) at the tastings. You'll be staying at an upscale campground just minutes from Chateauneuf du Pape in a serence wooded area near the Rhone River.
